The activities of the African Youth Caucus are aligned to the  2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and  African Agenda 2063.
The 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development strengthens development efforts and policies by providing a comprehensive and well-articulated set of goals and targets for the creation and implementation of policies and actions to reduce poverty, achieve peace, and promote equality, leaving no one behind.
African Agenda 2063 seeks to galvanise and unite in action all Africans & the Diaspora around the common vision of a peaceful, integrated and prosperous Africa. It further seeks to provide internal coherence and coordination to continental, regional and national frameworks and plans adopted by the AU, RECs and Members states plans and strategies.

Model United Nations Program 

The Model United Nations is an educational simulation of the United  Nations where students learn about diplomacy and international relations. Participants were challenged to conduct research about their committee’s topics and engage peers in high-level debate.  Since inception the African Youth Caucus has successfully represented the continent of Africa at the Harvard World Model UN program from 2017-2021, Montreal Model United Nations Program in 2020, Concordia Model United Nations program in 2021 and Harvard National United Nations program in 2021.

Youth Diplomatic Trainings and Lectures

The African Youth Caucus is committed to capacity building of the  youth in diplomacy by enhancing their  skills for effective negotiations, structuring, drafting and adopting United Nations resolutions and further enhancing the quality of the academic experience for youth. Since inception the African Youth Caucus has conducted youth diplomatic trainings at the University of Rwanda in Kigali Rwanda and Mozambique-Tanzania Centre for Foreign Relations in Dares salaam Tanzania in June 2018 and September 2018 respectively. The above trainings introduced youth to UN processes, committees at Model United Nations and scope of Application.

Public Dialogue Lectures 

The African Youth Caucus is committed to diplomatic dialogue sessions  with the intention of engaging the public on a wider range of international relations issues.

Africa Model United Nations Conference

In 2019, the African Youth Caucus launched the  African Model United Nations Conference is an annual Model United Nations Conference that brings together youth from the African Continent to engage in exciting discussion about the issues gripping today’s global community. To date, the African Youth Caucus has held 2 editions of the conference in 2019 and 2020.

Capacity Building for Dialogue through Intercontinental diplomatic forums

The African Youth is committed to preserving and strengthening relationships with youth around world through Intercontinental diplomatic forums.
